Oodua Youth Movement, a social cultural organization fighting the cause of Yoruba race at home and in the diaspora, has called on the traditional rulers in Yoruba land to support Dr. Engr. Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo presidential bid as the Ondo State born female engineer continues her consultations.
The group Coordinator, Bamidele Usman, said this will be a payback time for Dr. Funmilayo who has earned herself different prestigious local and international awards and recognitions across the country for her motherly role to all race.
Usman Bamidele said Dr. Funmilayo has been the shining light in the Nigerian engineering and humanitarian scene for sometimes and this has afford her to travel across the globe and has developed more human over the years.
“None of the supposed presidential aspirants in the South has made much sacrifice for the growth of the nation’s economy and Unity than the Managing Director of FunmiAyinke Group of companies.
Usman Bamidele believes that the political parties has, by its action of zoning the presidential ticket to the south, purposely, to provide Dr Funmilayo the appropriate platform to actualize her long-standing dream of becoming the President of the country.
By this said zoning, the question is ‘who is better qualified than the Multi talented FunmiAyinke? Dr Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, certainly, towers above everyone in the southern part of the nation who may want to try her for size. Dr Funmilayo has sacrificed much for this country, the Yoruba race and humanity.
Bamidele concluded that as a true omoluabi of Yoruba race, Dr Funmilayo signifies courage, hard work, humility and respect for traditional institution. “We are hopeful that he will receive a rousing welcome as she continues her consultations.
