FORMER ONDO STATE COMMISSIONER JOINS THE PDP.
The grand reception in honor of Hon Yetunde Adeyanju (formerly of the APC) into the PDP held successfully today at the Odigbo Local Government Secretariat of the PDP. The event, which witnessed a mammoth crowd of supporters of the new entrant had in reception many leaders of the Party across the Southwest including the Gubernatorial candidate of the Party in Ogun state, Hon Ladi Adebutu and his Deputy, the Deputy Governor-elect in Osun, former Deputy Governor of Ondo Hon. Agboola Ajayi, the former Deputy National Chairman (SW) of the Party, Olorogun Eddy Olafeso, the State Executive Council of the party led by the State Chairman, Hon Fatai Adams, former State Chairman of the party Engr. Chief Clement Faboyede (aka FABO), candidates of the party to the different chambers of the National Assembly, State Assembly candidates, leaders of the party within and outside the Southern Senatorial District.
The return of Hon. Yetunde Adeyanju was hailed as a welcome development and a great value-addition to the strength of the PDP in the district. Speakers at the event spoke unanimously of the need for the party to unite it’s ranks as it proceeds into the coming elections and praised Hon. Adeyanju for the bold step taken to return home to the PDP. While speaking, the former commissioner appreciated all leaders and members present and called for a united PDP to wrestle power from the failing APC. She spoke of the incumbent government of the APC as a disastrous reality that all citizens must work to erase.
The gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Ogun, Hon Adebutu while speaking, informed all members of his joy in having the former Commissioner return to the PDP. ‘This has been an effort that spanned over three years because of her nature of commitment to duty which will be very highly and better valued in the PDP’.
It was a huge success for the party in Ondo South Sen. District.
