*REP.OLUBUNMI TUNJI-OJO:THE EMBODIMENT OF ALTRUISTIC REPRESENTATION* *By Adewusi Olajide Johnson* We have had quiet number of representatives across political divide since the enthronement of Democratic enterprise in the year 1999.Their legislative engagement had been to feather their nest in order to sustain the gap between the representative and the governed. This is first time in political history of Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency we produced a representative in person of Rep.Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo popularly called BTO in Ondo State political firmament whose door is open for all the people regardless of tribes or ethnic group, religion belief, political affiliation, gender,geographical proximity and the likes. One of the hallmark of his all inclusive and broad based stewardship is the fact that,BTO appointed his aides without taking the political parties they belong into consideration; I could say it emphatically and unequivocally that this is one of the rare attributes of a leader and this suigenerise Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo to be a selfless cum altruistic Representative in 9th National Assembly precisely lower Chamber. The good people of Akoko North Federal Constituency and Ondo State at large are on daily basis showering and pouring encomium on BTO because his membership of National Assembly through the laudable projects that is ongoing in his mandate Area and beyond is undoubtedly a source of succour and solace. Fulfillment of social contract & implementation of social responsibilities are the core-values of stewardship which has been the priority of BTO since his inauguration as member of Federal parliament.His achievement within a in year through mentoring of youths for leadership is second to none and unprecedented. Royal Fathers' in Akoko and Ondo State are eulogising and celebrating Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo because his uncommon and rare approach to legislative business and unalloyed esteem he accorded the traditional institutions.
