REP. BUNMI TUNJI-OJO: BEHIND THE SCENES. By *_Thalis Apalowo_* I have personally read people outlining the achievement of Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo recently on the media space. Many reeled out his giant strides in infrastructural development, youth empowerment and regular interface with members of the constituency but no one has mentioned his achievements that were taken off the public eyes. Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has transformed representation in the constituency by making his office very accessible for constituent members who are in need of one thing or the other. Through this, many of our youths have got recommendations for jobs, contracts and promotions. He commits huge time and resources to this and it is an unprecedented achievement in our constituency. It is a thing of joy. In the real sense of it, a good representation demands that the people you represent are carried along on every issues. BTO consults political leaders and traditional rulers as the very important link between him and the people before any project is executed. Political leaders in this sense is not limited but across board. This is why he is widely regarded as a bridge builder and a rallying point for political leaders in the state. He has severally held meetings with leaders from different interest groups in a bid to listen to their opinions on issues bothering on development of the constituency. He has created a link for the leaders- traditional and political- to meet with the necessary players in the administration of the nation in a bid to give them a loud voice to request for development. I have also received calls of sweet testimonies from members of the constituency requesting that I thank the honourable on their behalf. These help rendered by Rep. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo are not open to anyone as he has always preached that he takes the happiness of his people beyond his self gratification. These and many more he has done behind the public eyes for the empowerment of his people and the progress of the constituency. We have not witnessed such robust and inclusive representation before. I appreciate and congratulate my leader and mentor as he clocks 365 days in office.
