PRINCE USMAN PRESENTS “SUVs” AS OFFICIAL VEHICLES TO ALL COUNCILLORS IN IFAKO-IJAIYE LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Today, at an unprecedented low-key ceremony held at the Council Secretariat, official vehicles were issued to all the Councillors in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government.
The Executive Chairman, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat UAH officially presented keys of Sport-Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to each of the Councillors.
The Leader and Deputy Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Victor Onifade and Hon. Jelili Adetunji (from Ward F and Ward A respectively) both received Toyota Highlander SUVs each, while other members of the Legislative Arm received Toyota Lexus 350 SUVs.
Other Councillors who also received the official vehicles were Hon. Sholola Oluwole “Okito” (Ward B and Chairman House Committee on Environment), Hon. Sharafadeen Bola Kareem (Ward C1 and Chief Whip), Hon. Ibrahim Oriyomi Adenekan (Ward C2 and Chairman House Committee on Infrastructure), Hon. Olaleye Rasaq Aremu (Ward D and the Majority Leader) and Hon. Adebo Samuel Kayode (Ward E and Deputy Chief Whip).
Jubilant constituents from all the wards in Ifako-Ijaiye who came to identify with their Councillors were chanting “Koseleri” (meaning first-of-its kind) and other jubilatory intones.
The presentation of these official vehicles was symbolic, as it was the first time all Councillors in the Local Government would get Sport-Utility Vehicles “Jeeps” for administrative conveniences.
Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Victor Oludayo Onifade on behalf of the Councillors commended the Executive Chairman for the bold initiative and affirmed the legislators’ commitment towards achieving #GreaterIfakoIjaiye.
“`The gesture was aimed at aiding administrative convenience while enhancing positive output of good governance especially towards result-oriented legislative activities in Ifako-Ijaiye.“`
Also at the Presentation Ceremony were the Vice Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Awoniyi Akerele; the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Fasusi Kolawole A – Mr Bachel; the Acting Council Manager, Alhaja Modupe Ogungbo-Alimi alongside other HOD’s and HOU’s; all Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers to the Council Chairman among others.
