ONDO STATE YOUTH PARLIAMENT
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Ondo State Youth Parliament (ODYP) wishes to felicitate the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, and Barr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, on their victories as the standard flag bearers of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) respectively in the October 10 2020 gubernatorial election.
The way of progress is constantly extreme and the individuals who are constantly prepared to take challenges and have the bravery to prevail upon it, just as they are granted for these accomplishments. We praise the duo as they possess such identities.
We are aware that campaign commences in no distance time, therefore, allegations, accusations and counter arguments are some of the inevitable machineries deployed in every electioneering proccesses in determining who governs the State in the next 4years. However, while engaging in all these, the Parliament would not hesitate to frown at any physical attack, or an attempt to cause damage, injury to, or death of opposing supporters or perceived enemies as an attempt to detract from the worth or credibility of the forthcoming election.
In tandem with the elucidation above, the Parliament wishes to unequivocally solicits for Youthful deputy from the two major political parties in the State, this development is no longer optional, but inevitable as it is considered as another reasonable template for encouraging and fostering youthful participation in government and governance by contributing very immensely to the developmental agenda of whosoever the people chooses as their Governor come 10th of October, 2020.
We want to reiterate that Ondo State Youth Parliament (ODYP) remains committed to protecting, defending, enhancing and advancing the general interest of the youth of Ondo State.
