The calming state of insecurity in Owo has been steamed up after Àmòtékùn officer shot a student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic owo.
The parent of the demised said her child was wrongly accused of armed robbery and was shot by members of the Àmòtékùn corps.
The leadership of NANS JCC ONDO AXIS met with the school authority and the leadership of Àmòtékùn Ondo State command. The state commandant narrating the ordeal said the suspect want to disarm one of the officers while carrying out their legitimate security duty. He said a petition was raised against the said victim but the boy was accidentally shot during the process.
As much as we celebrate the functionality of Àmòtékùn corps we won’t subscription to barbarism and unprofessionalism from members of the corps it is on this premise we will be converging to register our displeasure against some officers of the Amotekun corps by tomorrow 8th July,2022. By 7;00am.
