GOV AKEREDOLU RECEIVES ONDO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMEN ON CONDOLENCE VISIT, SAYS HIS LATE MOTHER LIVED WELL
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, on Friday received the Chairmen of the eighteen Local Government Areas of the State on a condolence visit over the death of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu (JP).
They were led by the state chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Hon. Augustine Oloruntogbe.
The council chairmen, who commiserated with Governor Akeredolu and his siblings, rejoiced with them for surviving their aged mother.

at the Kopindogba residence of the Late Lady Evangelist Akeredolu in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
Speaking on behalf of the Local Government Chairmen, Oloruntogbe said the late Lady Evangelist Akeredolu left a good legacy behind.
He said:”We are here to commiserate with you and your siblings, sir. You remain “baby’ in the hands of your mother no matter how old you are. But Mama has left her baby now.
“We, chairmen of the 18 Local Government Areas, representing our people, are here to commiserate with you over the death of your mother. We also commiserate with ourselves because she was also a good mother to us.
“We have been feeding from her breast in the past five years in Ondo state. We pray that the children left behind who have been transforming and impacting lives in all areas of human endeavours, God will continue to strengthen and preserve your lives.” he added.
The ALGON chairman also lauded the sterling leadership qualities of Governor Akeredolu, stressing that the Governor has brought a lot of development to the State and the people.
Welcoming the local government Chairmen, Governor Akeredolu thanked them for the visit, adding that his nonagenarian mother lived well.
He expressed joy that he and his siblings survived their aged mother, explaining that their late mother struggled to raise them after the death of their father.
“The great thing the Lord has done is that Mama lived long and lived well. So, we thank God for the life of Mama. We have different reasons to thank God. We thank God we survived her.” the Governor said.
