Give Your Best in Service to the University, Ajimotokin Tells Professor Francis Igbasan
• As He Congratulates Him Over Appointment As New VC, Macpherson University.
The Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin has extended his warm felicitation to a worthy son of Ode Irele, Professor Francis Igbasan over his newest appointment as the third substantive Vice-Chancellor, Macpherson University, Seriki-Sotayo, Ogun State urging him to give his best in service to the uplift of the University.
Hon. Ajimotokin in a statement said Prof Igbasan’s appointment was thoroughly deserved, adding that he had over the years proved his competence in academics.
“I am proud to say that his appointment is thoroughly deserved. His proven track record in academia is there for all to see and steadily he has risen through the ranks to the pinnacle of his career,” Ajimotokin declared.
The honourable Chairman expressed confidence that Professor Francis Igbasan would deploy his wealth of experience to bear and build upon the enviable legacies of the University in the next five years.
He describes him as a thoroughbred scholar stressing that his engagement within and outside the university community has prepared him for this enormous responsibility.
“As a renowned academic, there is no doubt that you will bring your expertise as a scholar and manager of people to bear in your new role as the Vice-Chancellor of McPherson University.
“It is my hope and expectation that you will put your leadership skills to bear and continue to make the university a pacesetter in the nation’s educational sector.
“With your leadership skills, the university will continue to produce great men and women that will bring about a better Nigeria and also improve the world at large”.
“Recall that until his new appointment, Professor Igbasan was the Deputy Vice Councillor of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Ondo State and has held different positions within the State which prepared him for even greater tasks”.
“With Professor Igbasan at the helm of the affair of the great citadel of learning, I am confident that McPherson University is destined for greater heights”.
